COUNCIL HIGHLIGHTS
The Town of Delisle will be booking a display booth at the 2012 Saskatoon Home Styles Show. Drop in and say Hello! Enter your chance to win 2 free rounds of golf at the Delisle Valleyview Golf course.
The Town of Delisle has purchased 192.5 acres immediately
to the east of Delisle. This land will be used for
future expansion and development of the
community. The next step will be to have this land
annexed into the corporate limits of Delisle.
$1,000.00 will be dedicated to the creation of the
Commemorative NHL Pictures that will be
displayed in the Delisle Arena.
Council accepted the resignation of Councillor
Melanie Hartley effective January 1, 2012. Her
council seat will remain vacant until the general
election to be held in the fall of 2012.

CURBSIDE RECYCLING PROGRAM
The Town has now subscribed to the Curbside Recycling
program as provided by Loraas Disposal.
For February, pick-up will be as follows:
Thursday, February 9th - garbage pick-up
Thursday, February 16th - recycling pick-up
Thursday, February 23rd - garbage pick-up
Thursday, March 1st - recycling pick-up
All Green Recycling brochures explaining the new
recycling program are available at the Town Office.
For businesses, if a single recycling roll-out cart
will not meet your needs, please contact the Town
Office or Loraas Disposal for other options. Also,
there will no longer be recycling bins at the Waste
Management Area after Nov. 30th. Although not
mentioned in the All Green Recycling brochure,
non-deposit glass containers like pickle jars, cheese
whiz jars, etc. can be recycled. Please remove the
lids, rinse and place carefully in your recycling cart
as to avoid breakage.
Residential Garbage/Recycling Pick-up
Collection is every Thursday all
year round. Garbage collection alternates with recycling collection from one week to the next. The roll-out carts are to be placed at least 1'
away from the curb and 3' from any parked vehicles. All garbage
must be bagged and placed inside the garbage cart with the lid fully
closed. Recycling material is to be loosely placed in the recycling cart (no need to package). Any cart not adhering to these rules risks not being
picked up!
WASTE MANAGEMENT AREA WINTER HOURS
Tue. & Thurs. - 3:00 P.M. - 5:00 P.M.
Sat. - 11:00 A.M. - 3:00 P.M.
WMA FEES/POLICIES:
- $2.00 per 17 gallon capacity bag or can
- $60.00 per ½ ton truck (64 cubic feet) or prorated
accordingly
- Shingles are no longer accepted.
- $20.00 each for Fridges, Freezers and Air Conditioners
- $20.00 each for Couches
- $10.00 each for Double or smaller Mattresses
- $10.00 each for Double or smaller Box Springs
- $20.00 each for Queen or King Mattresses
- $20.00 each for Queen or King Box Springs
Any non-recyclable garbage should be bagged whenever possible
before being taken to the WMA. All metals must be stripped
completely before being taken to the WMA.

DELISLE WHEATLAND LIBRARY
The Wheatland Regional Library is located at 201-1st Street
West in the Town Office Complex. The library has a large collection
of books, videos, talking books and magazines suitable for
all ages. There are 3 public computers with internet access.
Any item which cannot be found on the shelves may be requested
from other branches. With the enhanced borrowers service,
patrons can now access their accounts from home, where they
can request and renew books.
Storytime is provided from time to time for young children,
allowing them to visit the library in their pajamas for a
bedtime story.
Come in and check us out. We are open Mondays and Wednesdays
from 12:00 noon till 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. and on
Fridays from 12 Noon - 5:00 p.m. Phone 493-8288 or visit our

DELISLE VALLEYVIEW GOLF COURSE
Effective Jan. 1st, 2012, the Adult and family
membership will increase by the following:
Adult: $380 (2011) to $430 (2012), Family: $ 760
(2011) to $900 (2012). Senior memberships and all
Jr. memberships will remain the same. You may
purchase your 2012 Adult/Family memberships
at the 2011 prices until Dec. 31, 2011 at the
Rec.Office at 493-8283 or you can call Lori at
292-6440. Method of payment can only be cheque
or cash.

BYLAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER
The Town of Delisle has hired Ron Klassen as a bylaw enforcement
officer. Mr. Klassen has 10 years experience as an Auxiliary
RCMP Constable. To start with, the bylaw enforcement officer
will focus on issues such as parking and other vehicle infractions
& dog complaints. As time progresses, Mr. Klassen will
become more involved with nuisance and other miscellaneous
issues. To contact the bylaw enforcement officer, phone 321-2617.
RCMP DETACHMENT HOURS
The Delisle RCMP Detachment is now staffed every Tuesday and
Thursday from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. with a clerical person
to perform services such as security checks, handling inquiries,
public information, etc. RCMP officers may not necessarily
be available during these hours.
